#moneysmart series 2/3
Now is the time to get smart about money, ladies. It can be the difference between living paycheck to paycheck and live comfortably. I already started giving you tips in 6 Powerful Habits of Money Smart Women and, now that you are putting those into action, it’s time for even more fresh ideas. Welcome to part two of this exclusive series.
Being resourceful helps one to think outside of the box and create new ideas, as well as to visualize where they want to be. It sets you apart from the others. For example, a proactive woman sets aside money in case of emergencies. She also won’t give up if an unexpected obstacle comes in her path. She remains hopeful too. To quote Brittney Castro, the CEO of Financially Wise Women:
“Self-made women… are able to navigate roadblocks to find creative solutions to their challenges.”
Give Money Your Attention
If you are a woman who is not paying attention to how much money is coming in and out of her bank account, then chances are you won’t save as much money as possible every month because you simply don’t know your budget. As financial guru Suze Orman says,
“If you make time each month to give you money some attention, you’ll start the next year in fabulous financial shape.”
Although the often surprising events like your partner losing their job may force you to take a step or two backward, the key is not to let these occurrences derail you. See them as challenges to overcome, rather than as reasons to stop reaching for your financial dreams. This is what money smart women do to make better choices. You can do the same, starting right now.
“The big talent is persistence.”
Octavia E. Butler
Banish the Fear of Mistakes
Being fearful of mistakes is not something that you will see a money smart lady do. Mistakes help you see whether what you’re doing is working or not. If you hadn’t made that mistake, you wouldn’t know you were heading down the wrong investment path.
“You have to make mistakes to find out who you aren’t. You take the action, and the insight follows: You don’t think your way into becoming yourself.” ~Anne Lamott
Have a Vision
Successful people see beyond what the way things are traditionally done and instead look for new ways to do it. They see opportunities and creative paths all around them rather than obstacles. From even the simplest ideas, a money smart woman can make her life better, as well as the lives of those around her.
“Self-made women are inspired into action to construct a new reality no matter how deep or systemic the scraps.”~ Rachel Armstrong
What is the Next Step?
By embracing these life-changing habits of money smart women, you too can banish financial worries and welcome wealth into your life. This involves more than just getting a higher-paying job. I encourage you to use the information in this series to make the best decisions for your personal well-being and financial health.
Stay tuned for the third part of the series, coming next month!
